Photo mode, briefly
TikTok’s photo mode lets creators post a stack of still images with a song underneath. Viewers swipe through them. You’ll see it for recipes, outfit grids, travel dumps, memes and study notes.
To TikTok’s servers it’s a different post type from a video. Plenty of downloaders only understand videos and fail on these. SnapTikTok checks what each link points to; if it’s a photo post, it switches to photo mode automatically, on every page of the site.
ZIP or one by one?
- Phone, saving a few slides: tap the single Photo buttons. Each image saves straight to your downloads or gallery.
- Saving the whole set: use Download all photos. One ZIP, slides in their original order.
- On a computer: the ZIP is almost always quicker. Unzip it with a right-click (Windows) or a double-click (Mac).
Things people save
- Recipe cards and step-by-step guides
- Outfit and interior ideas for a mood board
- Notes and diagrams from study accounts
- Their own photo posts, after losing the originals

Saving a photo to look at later is fine. Posting it on your own page isn’t, unless the creator says yes. When in doubt, ask, and tag them.
For regular video posts, head back to the TikTok downloader. For just the music, the TikTok MP3 converter leads with the audio.
